Tasting Notes: Louis XIII is a blend of 1,200 eaux-de-vie aged up to 100 years, in rare, centenary barrels called "Tierçons". Four generations of Cellar Masters have carefully selected and evaluated each eaux-de-vie. Grapes are 100% from Grande Champagne. It's a firework of aromas, with a one-hour finish on the palate. Taste: First nose of Louis XIII reveal an incredible richness and intensity delivered by the barrels. Second impression is made of delicate and floral notes, provided by the best of the Grande Champagne. Third nose is full, covered by spicy tones. On the palate, the first crushed drop will infuse the whole mouth, with floral notes, undertones of candied fruits and touches of spices. The second sip sees notes of jasmine with nuances of passion fruit, themselves flirting with ginger and nutmeg.
