Tasting Notes: After three years of springtime frosts, 1992 offered a reprieve, with budding occurring during mild weather. A warm, sunny summer helped to create superbly ripe and mature grapes. The final vintage comprises 45% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay and 15% meunier. Grand Vintage 2002 is mature, harmonious and precise. Seven years in the cellars have developed the mature, toasty flavours, both sweet and dry, with warm notes of grain and frangipane along with toasted almonds and malt, mocha and light tobacco. Notes of ripe fruits follow: pear, candied citrus, plum, nectarine and white peach. Qualified as "miracle champagne ", the year 2012 will be remembered in Champagne. After various climatic vagaries that put the vineyard to a severe test, the magnificent month of August came to announce a harvest beyond expectations with sweet grapes, good acidity and a good phenolic potential.
